What is 'Magical Movement'?
For a child to be able move to their full ability is truly magical!
Exercise physiologists recommend 60 to 180 minutes of movement per day is required to maintain a healthy heart. As well as fueling physiological development, movement helps moods, helps us regulate our emotions. When our children exercise, oxygen fills their brain which fuels the brain. Movement positively impacts sleep.
Move Education’s programs are informed by movement physiology, to encourage a child’s development through dance.
Sheryn Zarins, Kinderballet owner and Artistic Director, says the programs are developed very intentionally with motor development in mind.
‘Our programs help children develop every skill in a pattern, and by using repetition. We design the routines around key developmental milestones including spatial awareness, core strength, balance, muscle strength and crossing the mid-line.’

We have a number of different programs available, ranging from our more ballet-centric, girl-orientated 'Kinderballet' programs, to the more gender neutral 'Jumping Jacks' dance programs through to 'Might Movers' for a more movement-focussed program.

What you will actually receive
Magical Movement - more than just an extra curricular activity!
1. 'Magical Movement' classes
The Kinderballet "Magical Movement" dance/movement programs (specially adapted to the childcare environment) delivered in your centre by an experienced ballet teacher - not an entertainer!
2. Track Milestones
We provide content to the centre to connect what we aim to achieve in our classes to the Early Years Learning Framework, so that educators can track developmental milestones.
3. Professional development
We will provide professional development learning opportunities (in class) and additional resources (as part of our premium package) for your educators that can be applied outside our classes.
4. 'Move Television' (MoveTV)
Your centre will have access to our 'MoveTV' content for all children to enjoy between classes, in school holidays or on rainy days. (We run this in Starlight hospitals).
Children enrolled in our classes will also be given access to enjoy at home with family and friends - thus further connecting what they do in care to home/family life! To practice, show Mum & Dad, brothers and sisters and also to educate parents about what they are learning and why.

You don't have to fit in with us - we'll tailor a package that fits in with your centre!
